Mental Health First Aid Course

One in five adults is affected by a mental health issue each year.
Is mental health first aid on your agenda?

This course provides high quality, evidenced based Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) education, increasing the amount and type of support you can provide a work colleague, family member or friend if and when the time comes.

Course Content
The Standard MHFA course teaches members of the public how to assist someone who is developing a mental health problem or in a mental health crisis. Participants will learn the signs and symptoms of these mental health problems, where and how to get help and what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective.

Course Format
A face-to-face 12-hour course (4 modules, each 3 hours) with flexible delivery format. Course participants receive a copy of the Standard MHFA Manual to keep and a Certificate of Completion. Additionally (at no extra cost), course participants will have the opportunity to complete an online accreditation exam in order to become an Accredited MHFAider for 3 years.
