About Out Doors Inc.

Out Doors Inc. is the leading provider of outdoor adventure and recreational programs for better mental health in Victoria. For over 35 years, we have been committed to improving mental health through nature-based programs.

As a not-for-profit organisation and registered charity, we believe that spending time in nature can have a transformative effect on mental health and wellbeing. Our experienced and qualified Program Coordinators are dedicated to delivering a diverse range of programs designed to meet the unique needs and interests of our participants.

Our programs include bushwalking, bike riding, rafting, hiking, cross-country skiing, rock climbing, abseiling, surfing, and creative programs such as bush art and music. These programs serve as a means of providing rehabilitation, skill development, and integration in the community.

Closer & more convenient: new Brimbank hub

Especially after two years of COVID lockdowns, we know there can be long wait times to access mental health support. That’s why we established a new hub in Brimbank – to connect people in Melbourne’s west with a new mental health service that’s accessible and inclusive.

The Brimbank hub gives you an easy and convenient way to access our range of outdoor mental health programs. You can speak with our friendly team in person, get more information, sign yourself up, or refer someone else. The hub also provides a convenient pick-up and drop-off location, making it easier than ever for participants to join us on programs.

Location: St Albans Community Centre (STACC)
33 Princess Street, St Albans VIC 3021
Opening hours: Every Wednesday from 10am to 3pm

Keen to get outdoors with us? Check your eligibility online or come visit us at the Brimbank hub.

The care recipient attends Out Doors programs and is supported to build positive social connections and access nature-based activities for better mental health.

During their time away with Out Doors, the carer can focus on their own health and wellbeing knowing the care recipient is engaging in activities that are challenging and fun and within a safe setting.
